What helps a church to be a growing and dynamic community of faith?  In a recent study completed by the Hartford Institute for Religion Research, several factors were identified, including things a church often has no control over, such as geographic location and increase/decrease of households nearby.  But several factors which a congregation can control included “a willingness to change & be innovative,” being “spiritually vital and alive” and being identified as “a moral beacon” in the community.

Bible Study with Pastor Hudder Print

BIBLE STUDY RETURNS! Pastor Hudder has resumed Wednesday evening Bible study meetings from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., taking up the Book of Acts in 3, six-week courses which will involve more introspective, faith-sharing around the passages studied. There is still time to join the class for the remaining lessons.

Outreach to Ghana Print

The Rev. David Christenson and his wife, Carol, returned to Ghana March 19 for a brief visit for the dedication of the Dr. Robert Everson Library at Mawuko Girls Secondary School in memory of his cousin. They  both taught at that school in the past.

David & Carol hope to bring funds to help stock that library and deliver school supplies and other medical materials, blood pressure cuffs etc. to various projects of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, their United Church of Christ Global Partner.
